Not sure if anyone knows if there are such things as ladies senior golf clubs. My mum is looking to take up the game again since my dad passed and I want to find her some clubs. I know that there are ladies shafts and senior shafts but is there such thing as clubs with senior shafts designed for ladies. She is approaching 70 and needs all the help she can get so I want to make sure I get the best for her

Regular ladies shafts should be fine for her Greg. Don't think there's anything lighter than those. See if you can pick up some Ping Rhapsody clubs - lots of the older ladies at our club use them and get on fine.

Thank you both, really appreciated. Want to surprise her with at least a set of irons but did not know where to start

Some companies offer a second, even lighter ladies' flex option (marked LL for example). But age does not have to be the determining factor. It depends on her swing speed. Maybe normal ladies' clubs suit her fine, especially if you say she has played before. Also, there seems to be a huge difference in what is marketed as ladies' flex by the different companies or even different product lines. For example I recently tried the Calaway Legacy driver and the ladies' version of the Callaway XR and there were worlds between them, the Legacy being much softer and lighter. The Callaway Legacy line could be interesting for your mother. My mum (who turned 70 last year) plays a Legacy hybrid and loves it. I tried it a few times myself. It is really superlight. And the guy in the shop said the Ping Rhapsody's were comparable as well, optimized for ladies' with a lower swing speed, so maybe something worth looking into as well.
