After several years at The Buckinghamshire, it's just been announced that the LET European Masters is moving to Germany this year. That's yet another tournament you can no longer watch live in the UK! :(

Looks like the new venue is more than capable of staging it successfully

Definitely. I've never played there, even though as I said it is not far from where I live. (I might do in the future, though. I just looked it up. I am not yet allowed on their championship course due to handicap restrictions, but I can play the slightly easier East Course and the greenfee is not as horrendous as I would have thought.) They are well known in Germany, not only for a fantastic golf course, but also for the performance centre located there and brilliant practice facilities that go with that. Caroline Masson and Max Kieffer both started their careers there. For a long time it has been the home of the German Open and of many national and international amateur championships.

Sounds like a great course, with great facilities ! By my reckoning , the way your handicap is falling you should be able to get on it in pretty soon ;)

I'm watching the USGA Ladies Open qualifying tournament at The Buckhamshire this morning. Very low key with not much information for the public, but I guess that is all I'm likely to see of the (mostly) LET players this year!

Appreciate it'll be a kick in the proverbial's for you to lose it from your doorstep, but one forum members loss is another's gain (Capella)

And just to pick a random location for the wider LET golf spectator, google tells me the flight time from say Newcastle, to either course is pretty much the same give or take a tailwind, so not much to choose between either venue if you're not lucky enough to live round the corner and have to travel to it

Hope the weathers good for your spectating today

One of the biggest ladies tournaments on the calendar is being held within 30 mins of you this year

If you mean Woburn, that's more like 90 minutes for me, probably more in the rush hour. The Buckinghamshire is only 10 minutes away.
It takes me about 45 mins at the very maximum even in rush hour to get from around here to Rickmansworth - if you really are a massive fan of ladies golf then a little drive up the M1 will be nothing to watch the best lady golfers in the world playing.
