KP Club, Pocklington

Played there a couple of months back, and it was excellent. Lots spent on the course over the summer, and it was looking great, and is a fair test.
The Lodges are spectacular, take a look.

Clubhouse very contemporary, perhaps too much so for a Golf Club, but its certainly different. Great food, and trendy Pro Shop too.

Not everyone's cup of tea perhaps, but certainly worth a visit. Enjoy.

Thanks Chris, looking forward to it, mainly because its not very often i play other tracks other than my own. I am intrigued by the clubhouse now.

Unfortunately the greens are appalling. Thankfully they have cut the rough down so you have at least a tiny chance of finding your ball now but really the greens are shocking. Not a particularly tough track and the par 3s are a bit dull but some stunning views and a great clubhouse.

Enjoy.

Had an enjoyable day at KP but i have to agree with Toonarmy i was thoroughly let down by the standard of the greens. Upon arriving and seeing the clubhouse and the surroundings i had high expectations for the course but i am afraid the money has clearly been spent on the packaging and not the product. The greens were terrible and i havent played a course with so few bunkers! As a 20 HC player i didn`t even get close to getting in one and probably counted around only 30-35 on the whole course. My track has around 70-75 which i am used to and provides a good test. Very modern pro shop which looked more like a high end boutique found in London and the clubhouse was similar to a large trendy wine bar.

Overall a good day helped mainly by good company but im not sure whether i will be visiting again in a hurry.

Strange, when we played a couple of months back, the greens were fine for a newish course.
Ok, not super smooth but adequate certainly.

I know the fellas that have invested the money in the place, (Lots), and I'm sure they'l be building it up over the next few years before selling it on when the price is right.
