About time he won a biggie. I’m happy for him as he always seems to be in the mix for titles.

A great solid, no fuss player.

Well played KJ... I wish I had a tenner on him

Yea, I nodded off and missed the playoff but I'm well chuffed for him. He has the look of a deafly assassin and just goes about his business.

As soon as G-Mac was out of it, I was rooting for KJ as he seems like a nice bloke (but don't cross him or he'll kill you with one touch).

Shame for David Toms though, nice bloke, led most of the week and was just pipped by the ever consistent KJ at the end.

He look's and walks like a robot, fair play to him though. He is always in the mix come the last day. Always worth throwing a few quid on him e/w. Well done KJ

For the last Open here in Kent he stayedd at someone I know's place

Apparantly he was an absolute diamond feller

Chris

I was definitely rooting for GMac but once he had let it slip away and Luke was too far back, KJ was the one out of the contenders I hoped would grab it.

Thought he had blown it when he missed the birdie on 16 but he is a cool customer and his swing doesn't seem to be affected by pressure and just kept pushing.

That chip and run on the last in regulation play was something special.

Well done KJ,but i've got to admit that Toms threw it away by taking on the 16th green with his second shot.He was leading, and should have played the percentage shot, which was to lay up with his second, and try and get a wedge close for a birdie put.

Chuffed to bits as that moves me up to 10th in NCG fantasy golf league. Knew he was coming into to some good form and was rooting for him last night. Well done Tank :D

Good to see he has over come his putting issues......I watched practising after he missed the cut at last years Open and was trying everything from croquet style to broomhandle and looked lost!

I agree, Toms went for the glory on that shot. But he recovered well on the 18th.

I thought that KJ had thrown it away with his 18th drive, to the right. Toms gained at least 50yrds by going straight on that hole.

I think the pressure got to Toms just a wee bit.

was chuffed he won, he is always very courteous to fans and seems a a very likeable fella. as above that pitch and run on the 18th was pure class (with a slight element of luck)

GMAC had a nightmare tho with a 79!!!!

Even though I had money on KJ I actually felt terrible when Toms missed that little putt after the commentator told the story about Toms and his son...

Apparently Toms has been considering retirement recently due to losing his love for the game and a series of injuries that have led him to not playing as well as he was. Then a while ago his son took up golf and this rejuvinated Toms love for the game and gave him the motivation to keep playing on Tour. Apparently he wants to keep playing to show his son that he can win, one last time....

Well he didnt exactly do that... The look on his and his families faces when he missed that putt were so depressing!I hope he wins again soon now as that would be sad if he didnt!
