Kilmarnock Barassie Open 28th July

both look good and a great way to play a course in great condidition..........and with potential prizes to boot

Getting ready for my visit to Kilmarnock Barassie and it has to be the wettest day of the summer so far :(
Last time I played here it was exactly the same !!
Good luck to the guys playing here today

After the dreadful start to the morning I am sure I have sunburnt my forehead !! Two holes with waterproofs on and then the sun came out.
It was a well organised day and the course was in really good condition. The only slight concern was a few puddles about the place, I would have thought a links course like this would have handled the rain better considering how dry it has been recently.
The two guys I played with we're really good company, although they were not used to the severity of the rough.
Me, I had a no return on the front nine and almost played to my handicap on the back nine. Overall a most enjoyable day :cheers:

Aye, much the same here Alan. A dreadful front 9 followed by a decent back 9. Always good to finish stronger than you start.
Although a strong start would be nice!

I was out a bit earlier Alan, started steady but 3 hours for 10 holes was murder. Nancy Reagan for me also after 15 holes. 5 hour rounds ain't fun, Barassie other than the standing water in some areas was in great condition, rough was a bit brutal though.
