My daughter took her kids to the Kelvin Grove museum today, boys is 7 girl is 3.
There was a big painting of Mary Queen of Scots and she asks the boy... Do you know who that is?
The wee one chirps up... It's Mary
Daughter asks.... how on earth do you know that
Wee one says.......I saw her painting at Windsor Castle.

They visited Windsor Castle when she was 2 years old.

Yeh my kids forget nothing! Just wait for their teens when they find booze and whatever else, it will all get wiped away then!

My son was 30 at the weekend and has forgotten all the tens and twenty pounds he has "borrowed" over the years!

What's really spooky about kids is when, you think they are looking at you, but they are actually looking and smiling at something behind you and it's not there uncle Kevin, then when you realise and turn to look there's quite obviously nothing there.

People seem to think that the untainted mind of a child is open to everything and as such will see things that as adults we know cannot possibly be real or apparent .

The sceptical among us will think ghosts do not exist, but perhaps the child thats looking past you knows otherwise.

My 6 year old can look at any toy he has and tell you who gave it to him.............and for what occasion, even one that came from family abroad he has never met!!

so what happens to us all between the early years and forgetting where we park the car weekly!

8 years ago we drove through a junction and got cut up by some pillock in a Beetle - the Boy was 3.

Last Summer we drove through the same junction for the first time since and he piped up "This is where that Beetle nearly took us out wasn't it?"
I had to think for a minute to remember...

Got less to remember though haven't they

The older you are the more space is taken up in your head by trivia and important things alike

As Homer ( the yellow one ) said , every time I learn something new I have to forget something to make space for It

Or words to that effect

(or words to that effect)

Even spookier than my OP.

My wife brings up a totally different image of Mary QOS on her 'pooter and leaves it hanging.
Wee one is playing away and she asks her who is the lady on the 'pooter.

She turns round and says 'That's Mary'.
