Hats off to Simon Khan, languishing about 450 th in the world. and had to go back to Q school last year.

Gets a phone call on Monday , Can you play in the PGA tp fill up the numbers, Then he only goes on to win it!!

fairytale stuff, but what a nice guy, lovely family and what a great break for them.

OK it would have been nice for Luke Donald or Danny Willetts or Chris Woods to win, but they all cocked up, although Luke was really unlucky on the 18th with his approach to the green,
12 inches more and it would have landed in the hole and playoff time.

I enjoyed the BBC coverage, dont have Sky so cant compare.

But what a day for the rank outsider

and hope for all of us

I reckon Luke's chances of a playoff went on the 17th. He was utter rubbish. I can't think (on the 18th) it would have been a guaranteed eagle even if he'd got there....

Well done to Simon Khan though, good for him.

Delighted for Khan but as a spectator it made for dull viewing as round after round the leaders conspired to lose. Real shame that Khan's triumph will be over shadowed by question marks on the redesign. Really pleased for him and hope this kickstarts his career.

Utter tosh....I think it actually shows the chap that played the best won!! It's about time they had a course that actually tested the big boys, which the West did today, rather than turning tournaments into target practice/putting fests.

Khan is super streaky - when he hits it well though, like this week, it shows how good he can be....the other 'leaders' all only have themselves to blame with too many missed tee-shots, poor approaches....

what are you talking about. Khan finished early then the leaders played badly so it wasn't that exciting a conclusion. Watching khan play wad great but after that...
