Hey guys/girls, quite new here so not sure who lives where, so thought I'd ask to see if (m)any of you live nearby and would be up for a round sometime. I'm currently relying on public transport so does limit me somewhat, however I'm still willing to travel. Would just be nice to meet a few new faces and also try out some new courses. I am not a member anywhere atm, just playing at a local club called boughton (pentland golf) as it is the easiest to get to. I don't have a h/c, although my last ten rounds have all been mid-low 90's.

Sounds good rob, shall have to try to sort something. I'm actually playing at south Essex in a week or so, mate has a 'lesson and a round' for £25 deal that he's booked me in for. First lesson since I was 13 so could be interesting! Any idea on the course?

Probably worth noting that I work a lot of weekends and get the Friday/Monday off either side, which are ideal days for a round where I get no grief from 'HID', so if any of you have the luxury of a mon/fri off, would work out nicely.

Sorry for the delay in responding.

Yeah, have played South Essex a few times. Quite a nice track, it has three loops of nine, the Heron, Hawk and Vixen. Most people play the Hawk and Heron but I have a soft spot for the vixen as it was where I got my first eagle

Only downside is it is pretty busy at weekends but then I suppose anywhere worth its salt will be.
