Has anyone here played this event before?

Whilst away boarding last week I received an email from the club saying I had been selected by the handicap committee to represent the club and play this event, from what I gather its a 4ball knock-out event.

Havent received all the details yet but I'm sure I will soon, so wanted to see if anyone on here had experience of this particular event and what their thoughts were?

It's quite a nice feeling to get selected though I have to say. Hopefully I'll get to play some nice courses

Quite a good way to play some other courses - if you win rounds.

There was a bit of a 'clique' for this comp at the Surrey club where I was a member - as only 2 pairs 'invited'.

Away pair normally get 2 shots (each) in lieu of courtesy round - unless a member of home club

Yes, I suppose we would have to win to get to play more courses.. I think I would like to win my first match at the very least, dont want to let the club down and fall at the first hurdle!

Played Surrey 5's last year which I enjoyed so hopefully this will be good too. I do like the 2 shots for away courses though, thats really quite generous isnt it?
