I'm very sad to hear of the passing of one of my personal giants of the music world, Keith Emerson.

A truly gifted musician and the driving force behind ELP, thanks for everything and RIP Emo.

What a crappy year this is turning out to be.

ELP, for an all-too brief period, was an absolutely amazing group. Trilogy and Brain Salad Surgery are a remarkable pair of albums.

Since Chris Squire died last summer there have been so many greats gone.

Very sad, saw ELP at Manchester Free Trade Hall, I loved the first ELP album and Pictures at an exhibition, I was also a big fan of The Nice.

Loved The Nice too, in particular Ars Longa Vita Brevis was the absolute schizzle.

Also a fan of ELP Nice, one of my all time favourite tracks is Lucky Man, my brother who's sadly no longer with us was also a massive Keith Emerson fan, he named his sons middle name Emerson.
