He got a ruling but felt he went about it the wrong way.

Not at this event as only the top 70 in the rankings qualified.

Cards are retained by the top 115 or 125 (not sure which) so Bradley's withdrawal makes no difference to the standing of anyone "on the bubble" as they would not have qualified in any event for the BMW.

As I understand it after the info from the fan that the ball bounced Bradley was not 100% certain that his embedded ball was embedded in its own pitch-mark and despite the all clear from officials he withdrew

it's easy to be glib and point out that it doesn't have to be embedded at the point it first hits the ground; only that it needs to have been in the air, land, and be embedded as defined - it's also a fact that if the committee decide it's correct it is correct!

unfortunately worldwide social media activity, however right or wrong, is having an impact on how some individuals think and feel in such situations.

I suppose but wouldn't be the first time a ball has bounced and then embedded. Seems like another case of a spectator interfering. Thankfully not a 60" TV HD slow mo arm chair analysis though.

I don't actually know if Bradley thought there was an issue with the embedded status of the ball or if the doubt in his mind was whether it was his balls own pitch mark or someone else's!
