Just been to our local clubshop and its £209.99, seen it online for £189.99.

What are the average prices for this driver from your pro shop?

Thanks
Ian

£195. The pro has already had a fair few ordered. Went round with a fella trying it out the other day... He still sliced it like a good un. Exclaiming at the end of the round "nah, not really for me." Some people don't realize its them not the bleeding clubs. Gave me a nice little giggle

I just want a driver that is pretty forgiving and has a better ball flight than my 14 degree Top Flite Driver. It goes way too high for my liking and is very lightweight so just feels weird.

I think you'll find the K15 Driver to be very light too.
As an alternative, if you want to stick with Ping, have you considered the G10? Or G15?
Both drivers are pretty forgiving.

£190 -£200 for a brand new Ping driver is about right.

Alternatively you can have my ( hardly used - sweetspot guaranteed untouched ) Benross. The Benross is set up for mid to high handicappers and has a skight draw bias, but not as much as the Ping.

The Benross will, however, set you back £40.

There are also loads of old model drivers available online for various prices betweeen the two extremes.

;)

I was whinging about the K15 being too light to Jamie a while back. So he did the closed eyes, try holding these two clubs ( K15 and I15 ) test.

Which one is lighter?

Well, I got it wrong.

Really weird then. When I went for my fitting at Ping I had been hitting the i15 when they said "try this" and handed me the K. My immediate reaction was that it was considerably lighter!
:D :D :D

I thought exactly the same. Hence the whinging.

But when I had one club in each hand, eyes shut, and then he switched them over, and held them both out in front of me, my senses obviously had less to go on, and suddenly it became very different.

There probably is a weight difference, but I'm guessing it's a lot less in real terms than a prima donna like me can actually tell in a real test.

Ian, I don't think you have to jump straight up to the top of the range clubs to be honest.
Try the Benross or a ping G5 with around 10-11 deg and see how you get on. 14 degrees for a driver is way too much loft for your swing.

Was only looking at the K15 as heard its pretty forgiving for the off centre shots. Might pop to the Belfry tomorrow and see what they have, if i bought the Benross and didnt get on with it, it would be in the back of my mind i should have got the Ping, LOL.

The K15 is really forgiving and as Smiffy said it is very light too. I liked it when I tried it and got some surprisingly good results. It reminded me of the original Cally Big Bertha which was a real confidence boosting club that really helped on mis hit shots
