What a very poor poor reaction to his three putt - slamming down his putter on the green a number of times. It's those sort of actions that kids copy

And please bring in the 40 sec rule quick because some of these players are poor - Mickleson being one of the worst this time. Thomas again paced out 80 plus yards to the green !

Ps come on Rahm !!

He certainly seems to have a little temper on him.

Had a great start of the season. Half the battle is with yourself. He'll beat himself before he tees off with that attitude.

Needs to take a line (pun intended) from DJ.......

Yep the anger seems to be taking over and playing him out of the tournament. Not channeling it well at all.

forgetting jt for a minute.

what a day for tommy Fleetwood, may even get better...

former royal bootle lad on his bag, great to see

That bunker shot from DJ on the 18th...

bravo can't see any other player pulling that off under that pressure...

Seems like they were all at it today. Seen Rory slamming his club into the fairway when he pulled a wedge shot. And rahm throwing his club down after a poor chip shot.

Another great win for DJ!

I really though Tommy Fleetwood was in with a shout after looking at DJs lie
in that Bunker.
That was some shot to hit the middle of the green with control also.

I'm not supporting Justin Thomas for his slamming putter into the ground incident or his driver into the crowd at all, but folk having a go at players for hitting the ground with their wedge or throwing a club to the ground after a poor shot IMO need to back off.

Back off ? Why

It's poor to watch and see and it's creeping into the game more and more. Soon you will have golfers acting like footballers more and more.

Young kids are very impressionable and they copy Pros - from elongated PSR, to the way they react on the course - the last thing we need is kids throwing clubs everywhere and slamming them down on the ground.

You can excuse the one occasion but not when it's a regular occurrence for a player

In this instance I think that Rahm's & Rory's 'outbursts' don't warrant the same reaction as JT's driver into the crowd or his slamming his putter into the green. In my opinion as golf fans we can't laud the players for reacting passionately to positive play then berate them for showing the same passion to poor play - there is a line and think JT crossed it but I don't think Rahm and Rory did.

I was a bad tempered wee **** on the golf course growing up and it's embarrassing to look back on it now but it wasn't because I'd watched it on TV. I don't want my kids to be like me but if they saw what we saw last night on TV I'd just say aye it's not a great reaction but 99% of the time pro golfers behave pretty well.

I think it's a massive leap to say that golfers will be behaving like footballers soon - this sort of reaction in golf has been going on for years and years, it isn't just creeping in now.

Thought exactly the same, as soon as he he hit it I thought that was fat, but it was nigh on perfect, the putt up to 6" wasn't bad either.

I wasn't ranking any outburst as worse than the others. But they're all bad and as Phil says it won't be long til our juniors start picking up on these.

Its a wee bit tricky because a lot of us (viewers) want to see more personality and emotion from the players but I guess its harder to just show the good without accepting that the bad might be creeping in too

I was so hoping Inbee park would do something to show her emotion after some of the shots she pulled off yesterday but there's barely a hint of a smile following some of those key birdie putts dropping (stunning round by the way)

Andy Sullivan & Lydia Ko are the kind of players who would do a fist pump if they got a set of those winter tees tied together with a bit o'string as a Christmas pressie, just seem to be naturally happy people and that comes across on screen and I haven't seen either windmilling through the gallery when a shot goes wrong so its possible to be disappointed with resorting to chucking clubs around

Maybe its just personalities like Justin and Rory etc who believe themselves to be immune from being responsible for their actions. Some folks moral compass's point in a slightly different direction to others

Clearly you already made a huge U-Turn on the above already but come on... The guy slammed his putter into the surface HARD, three times... He then consistently let go of his club till it ended up in the crowd. He must know this makes him look bad! Its just not acceptable.

I think he should be banned from the next WGC for the incident on the greens. Absolutely unacceptable, end of !!!

Yup. the Professionals should be expected to behave 'professionally'; there is no excuse: bad tempered reactions should be immediately penalised.

(well done Fleetwood)
