What's everyone's thoughts on JR?

I just think his technicality is hugely above most of the other tour pros. His knowledge of most courses and his putting when it's good is just phenomenal. I'm a big fan....

But.... is there any place for his training / style in the amateur game? I know I couldn't spend most of my week nights on a launch monitor for example.

he's doing what he feels he needs to do to play his best, he ain't doing too bad.

There is a place for any method of training as everyone learns differently, daily launch monitors is the amateur game are however prohibitively expensive to most.

Cant say I totally agree with this, ultimately its his putting that costs him winning a lot more tournaments (especially in the final round when in contention). Currently ranked 100th in strokes gained on tour, hes hardly jordan speith with putter in hand
 
Rose is an interesting case. After his rise to fame at the 98 Open with that pitch in at the 18th, he went through a very tough time with all those missed cuts, but he stuck his head down and came good. I think he has probably developed more patience and stick to itness than most of the hot prospects who hit the ground fast and have their problems later. His game seems to be pretty consistent, decently long and straight off the tee, hits plenty of greens and good short game. He definitely has another major or three in him.
 
Admire him greatly. He's maturing into a really solid player and I had a thought last night that with the demise of Mickleson, Furyk etc. in the next few years he's going to be taking the reigns of the tour veteran that keeps all the youngsters like Spieth at bay. He seems well placed to succeed in his twilight career and he's got a great attitude with it.
 
and what a reply under pressure, back to the 18th we go.....and Lingmirths still going with the driver...
 
I am a great admirer of Justin Rose - his golf swing, the way he conducts himself, his interviews etc but I was very disappointed to observe his almost arrogant pose when he holed that huge putt on the 18th in the play off. (A bit like C.Ronaldo when he scores!)
Impressed with Lingmerth also. ----51/51 putts holed from 5' and less-wish I could do that!
