Maybe they were get it right up you TM fist pumps?

Letting go of the number on player in the world and keeping Rors really is a PR blunder.

Certainly a mistake to let Rose go, but not a blunder to keep Rory - he's very popular stateside. Was it a choice between them?

I reckon Rose will be the hardest working guy out there.

Grinds over every shot.

Remember at the Open last year. He really fancied his chances beforehand but when it got going was in danger of missing the cut. He was trying to make a birdie coming home on the Friday evening to make the cut on the number. Obviously it was a really tough stretch at Carnoustie.

He stayed in it on 16 and 17, then flagged his approach on 18. Made the cut and then probably had the best weekend of anyone to get genuinely into contention and finish T2.

Can't help but think a lot of other guys would have given it away much easier, saying 'I just don't have it this week, there's always next week'.
