I had an hour lesson with Paul Page at Kingshill this afternoon and WOW!

Luckily I turned up with my A swing so there was just a bit of work on extending longer through the swing and I asked Paul to work with me on shaping shots. We went through the 9 shots, high, medium and low, fade draw and straight and his teaching made sense of how to do each shot and I just loved the whole lesson.

I just hope that, with practise, I can take it to the course and try and play them as and when needed, but isn't it just great when you feel that your moving on with your game!

Had a similar experience this week with Barry Taylor at Houghwood Golf Club. Having seen my swing disintegrate over the last 12 months and with no real ideas of how to fix it, I booked a course of 6 - 1/2 hour lessons. After watching me hit a few 7 irons on Thursday morning, he highlighted how upright my posture had become. Bingo, within the hour I was on my course and the Driver was behaving better than it had done for at least 12 months. After a bit more range time, the irons were sweeter than ever. Just hope I can put them both together in tomorrows comp now...

Great when it happens. I don't plan to deliberately play the shots today unless the need arises but to practice them for a while and introduce them slowly as they become grooved. It was on of the first lessons I have had when I wasn't there to fix a fault but to try and improve my play.

Good luck today!
