thanks (I think) to the eagle eyed on here

then Daveyboy for a quick discount code

and I've just signed for the clubs.

so an oft repeated forum dilemma; should I use the clubs I used in yesterdays knock out or just dive in and play the new ones with the absolute confidence that they will work flawlessly straight out the box (and that I just have to adjust the yardages by 10% because they will go sooooooo long :)) and will be so easy to hit

whoops - down to 8 minutes!

Would you wear an old dirty pair of kegs in favour of a brand new fresh pair? Treat your clubs like you do boxers and you'll be sound.

update - just back in....

went with posts #3/#4 = should have listened to post #2 :(

in theory these irons are -

1. identical shafts
2. identical shaft lengths
3. same lofts (within 1/2 degree here and there)
4. same offsets
5. same grips
6. basically an updated version of the same head....

well they didn't feel like it!

I got to hit about 20 7 irons before I set off on the course - probably should have swapped them back after 5.

Need to do some scientific checks - it's possible the grips are thinner (they feel it) and the swing weights are lighter (they feel it)

but it's also possible I was having a bad swing day (it felt it!)

strange game this golf!
