And loved it! The sun was out, course in superb conditions and a bunch of spectators and tourists clapping me home on the 18th was awesome :)

i know now it's not the toughest course in the world and when the pros come here in a few months I think they will shoot some fantastic scores!

Will be watching to see if they can match my birdies on the 10th and 5th too lol ;)

You've had a great day for it. Its got to be one of the best feelings in golf walking up that 18th.

Are you out in the town tonight?

Back tees, wind blowing, tricked up greens, small matter of the biggest prize in golf at stake.

I think it will be a bit tougher for them.

Well done on your birdies though!

Played the castle course a month after it opened and I loved it then played old course day after. St. Andrews Apis a cracking place. Hope u have as much fun tomorrow as you did today. Enjoy.

they are not tricked up, they are huge and finely hidden borrows. Normal links golf

One of my finest memories of golf. From standing first in the queue by the starter's hut at 05.45 in a slight mist, to being told I'd be playing in the first group of the day with two friends (and a stranger), to standing on the first tee thinking how many had stood there before me, to birdieing the 1st, 9th and 11th, to parring 17th with a lovely 4 iron to front edge of green for the second shot, to not going in a single bunker all day to shooting an 82 gross.
Magical from start to finish!
Glass you enjoyed it.

It's a been a stunning week for it, the Castle Course is going to be beautiful today. Looking out this morning and it's probably the best weather for golf you're ever likely to get here. I'm on holiday tomorrow, but not today, and if I hadn't got an important chore facing me at work I'd have taken the rest of the day off and found a round on the links somewhere.

Enjoy the Castle.
