Just had my 1st lesson in 4 years

Afternoon folks, i've just finished the 1st lesson i've had for about 4 years after constantly wanting to snap my driver in half!!

I've had an issue of a ballooning ball flight with my driver since I got it, with the occasional slice and not very often a nice, straight penetrative ball flight.

So I went to my local range, asked if there was a pro available now and off we went, I hit 5 balls with my normal swing whilst he watched, he commented my swing was fundamentaly sound, he then proceeded to change the first 5ft of my back swing as i was opening the clubface immediately on takeaway and going over the top on the way down. I now kind of slightly emphasise closing the clubface on the takeaway....results = a nice, straight & penetrative ball flight

Great stuff! Sounds like you (and the pro) have got it sussed, must be nice to hear you have a good basic swing and now you can drive the ball better.... you must be itching to get out now!

theres a reason the pro's and top amateurs get regular lessons- it works

Maybe don't leave it so long next time. Even if you are happy with the general standard of your game and swing, nothing wrong with an MOT every now and then
