its was 3 para medics and an Ambulance.

"We have come about your mother sir"

"You are a bit late, she died in 1997"

Puzzled look on all their faces, they were looking for somewhere miles away.

Priceless,

Laid in the road for over 30 mins waiting for an ambulance. When they eventually turned up they said they'd got lost. It was a main road in Manchester, and the ambulance station/hospital was 3 miles away.

Not surprised.

Guy next door to me fell out off the loft hit the handrail on landing fell down the stairs and got stuck in the baby gate.

His son came and got me and called 999 we waited 45mins for ambulance that's just not good enough.

but they are all stuck in a&e corridors for hours on end.

I would not like their job but we all make mistakes.

This is wrong. A change in procedure MUST happen. It infuriates me when I see this on the TV. And whilst my rage is on, woe betide any hospital that thinks I'll be letting any of my family hang about in a corridor waiting to be seen after a ride in an ambulance.

Funding too, make sure all big business are paying fair tax, stop tax dodges for the rich, stop NHS foreign tourism abuse (they should have insurance and pay as we would do going abroad) and put a penny on income tax for all and save the NHS.

"Listening Theresa?....thougth not!":(

Got knocked off my cycle back when I was 14, Mrs T was in charge then.
I landed face first in a gutter, narrowly missing the kerb stones. Got taken to A&E, processed then put on a trolley in the corridor. 8 hrs later when the new shift that started just as I was taken in were knocking off, one of the nurses questioned why I was still there. My mum had been asking the same question all night. Turned out my card had fallen down behind a radiator!
They soon treated me then.
Ultimately I was lucky to miss the kerb and suffer only concussion and the removal of most of the skin on my right side of my face. Also had a week off school as a result. Boy it looked horrendous.

I remember the Ambulence serevice tried to charge me for one when is was involved in a "Road Accident"

it was when i still cycled and was down in the Chilterns. Stacked with a couple of other guys and i'd come off worst, with most of the skin on one arse cheek taken off and the skin on the tip of my elbow.
We cycled to Luton and Dunstable hosp and i needed 5 stitches in my elbow. as i was leaving they wanted my address so they could send the bill for the ambulance!!!!

cheeky buggers, was it not a clue when 20 guys all in lycra turned up at the same time, on bikes

It was a thing down here back then.
Fragger totalled Mum & Dad's car and got carted off to Wycombe General. I think he had to pay for that.
I had a cycle "incident" when my front wheel went down a pothole and stayed there, unfortunately I didn't and tried my hand a flying.
Got carted off to Wycombe General and they tried to charge me but the rule says that you get charged if involved in an accident involving a motor vehicle...I wasn't so I didn't have to pay👍
