Club speed 93mph
Ball speed 133mph
Smash 1.5
Trajectory 17
Carry 222
Finish 247
Dispersion 15 yards

What an amazing feeling club.

Not knowing anything about smash factor I took the print out stats at face value... all the above are my averages butthat smash factor doesn't seem to compute.

You're right, they don't compute. Smash is the ratio of ball speed to clubhead speed. 93mph clubhead speed and 133mph ball speed = 1.43 smash

That is still a very good figure, especially with a 3 wood which doesn't have as high a COR as a driver

Good numbers. Shame you didn't wait until next week. TM are bringing out their new version that will double that and give you another 43 yards. Or is that the one due out the week after that. Hope you enjoy it and it works for you!

*puts sherlock hat on*

I deduce you see a flaw in the figures, do tell?

Im a stats virgin so am all ears and willing to learn.

Quite simply, imho, 93mph swing speed with a 3 wood just doesnt add up to 247 yards in the real world. Get out on the course, hit 10 or 12 (hit them both ways so as to negate the wind) and then measure tham with a gps or laser and see what your average is, be interesting to compare

Will do, wont get it until approx 23rd.

Stats certainly don't add up - to get that distance with that swing speed is impressive work if they are right

Stats on launch monitor never match true course figures. Mainly because the monitor will be set for perfect conditions .. no wind, rock hard bounces, and optimum temperatures. Going out and trying the same club today will find you battling windy conditions, soggy fairways, and single digit temperatures .... Does anybody really expect them to be comparable?

I had a fitting at Orka in March this year, did a gap test on the G2 monitor a couple of weeks later. Double checked some of the yardages on course a couple of weeks later and they were spot on. No reason why a properly calibrated monitor wont give you an accurate carry distance (obviously has to be adjusted if windy), just the majority of machines out there seem to be juiced

I'm no expert, but the SF doesn't compute and you are getting the same distance with less ball speed than I get with my driver. However, the I see was more to do with the fact it was a TM stand at a trade show and my suspicion would be that the machine is "calibrated" to make sales. However, that's me being a sceptic.

If you can hit it consistently straight and a decent distance on the course, who cares what the stats say.

He didn't hit 247 yards,he carried it 222 the ball rolled the rest.

Perhaps he hits a better ball than you, ever thought of that?
So scepticle

To be brutally honest I do this on a regular basis and I'll guess my swing speed isn't much different
240-250 with my 3 wood - carry + roll - isn't unusual as I hit a 3 wood sooooo much better than a driver.

Having said that it would surprise me if any manufacturer at the show didn't have their LM set to optimium conditions.....
