Well if you think the 'new forum' issues here are bad they've got nowt on the Golf Forum (good memebers but too little going on and too much advertising) I've left there and having had a hunt around for a while this looks good for me.
So here's to ye and I look forward to some good topics and banter. By the way the 'N' key on my laptop is a bit knackered so any spelling/typos pedants, please forgive me!

Which forum? I Had a look a the Todays Golfer one recently. Hardly a happening gig over there. Welcome along to the best golf forum. Great comments, great banter and somewhere where GM actually care what happens and who provide some great opportunities. Get stuck in

Welcome aboard. Where do you play ?

Just got back from St Andrews, and the quality of the courses is superb. Already planning a return trip.

Elmwood at the moment but maybe St Andrews in a year or so. Thought about Lundin but they have a huge entry fee of 2 years membership plus your normal year.

Welcome to the forum mate, thats a big entry fee, I take it they don't have issues in getting members there ?

They seemto be pretty quiet to be honest but numbers must be ok I guess. They have a great course in great nick so desirebale course.

Had a look at Lundin, didn't play, but it looked good. Came highly recommended by one of the lads on here. Sounds expensive to join, although probably a lot cheaper than courses down here. The nearest course to me, Hankley Common, is £5200 to join !!!

Aye I think loads of folk up here don't realise how lucky they are. There are about 8 good parkland courses ten miles from me and all around 500 notes a year, some cheaper. The there are municipals as well. Home of golf I suppose for a good reason.
