Jump out of a plane without a parachute...

Idiot. What would have happened, apart from an unsightly mess on the ground, if he'd miss the net and been killed. There would have been all sorts of questions about letting him jump and no doubt being the US, legal proceedings

Just seen this footage. Jesus! It looked to me like he almost missed the net.
The video clearly looks like he is just about hitting the edge, but I heard it somewhere described as hitting it right in the centre.
Maybe it's the perspective, or it is some spin.

Oh, he will have had to sign so many waivers to be allowed to do it his pen will have run out.....

Why jump out of a perfectly serviceable aircraft - with or without a parachute....?
Nutter, complete Nutter

This comment always makes me laugh. Believe me, they're not perfectly serviceable aircraft!! I guarantee if you was up at 14,000 ft and you were given the option of jumping out or landing in it you'd jump:-D

But on a serious note it's a massive achievement in the sky diving world. next up is a chap that recons he can land a wingsuit without a parachute. APPARENTLY Red bull have already offer to fund it

He was aiming off centre so the travel into the centre takes more of the sting out

Not sure how to do a link, but if you google Gary Connery, its already been done.

Admittedly its pushing the definition of landing.:whoo:

He is a nutter. It was a play on words when Gary done it. He did it without deploying his parachute but still had one on his back. The new challenge is said to be wearing no rig at all with no landing aids such as cardboard boxes. The chap is from Canada and said he has found a mountain in Norway with a slope of perfect gradient to land his suit on.

I've done plenty of free fall jumps and believe me, some of the crates you go up in and are crammed into, your happy to jump 😎

What!!
Mad. Even with the suit and the slope, he'll still be travelling at what?? 50
60 mph..??
Hope he can run fast..:p
Do you do a bit Hovis, seams like you know the scene.??

A perfectly serviceable aircraft is a very rare thing.

Pretty much all of them fly with cracks, missing bits, leaks etc. The Lims (limitations) log can be pretty full for some air frames!

Are you flying soon? Enjoy! 😉

I was in the skydiving scene for 5 years and give up after 402 jumps. However, i come out of retirement this weekend for a cheeky 5 jumps.

The chap in his wing suit intends to land on his belly amd slide down the long slope of the mountain. he recons ski jumpers hit the ground harder and faster so should be easy. Better him than me i say!!!

I doff my cap to you sir. Its one of them things i've always wanted to do, but never had the nuts..:o

As for the Canadian chappie.
Of course, how silly of me, its obvious how he would land, when you think about it.. :p
What a complete loon. I hope them red bull adverts with the two angels aren't somehow prescient.
