Speaking with Jamie Donaldson (Aimpoint instructor who works with some of the pros) and he reckons he's not going to do much this year as he isn't seen as stellar in too many facets of the game and only did so well last year on the basis of his holing out, especially from 12-20 feet. I do think he'll find it hard to get anywhere near last year

Lets wait for the season to begin properly before we judge him. The only serious tournament to date was last week, on a course he will never win at unless he finds another 40 yards off the tee!
People are being far too quick to take him down. There is a reason why he holes so many putts - yes it is a natural strength, but he spends more time practicing this area than any other.
Sure, he probably won't win 2 majors with 2 other top 5s. Heck, he might not even win 1 major this year. But he will be around for a long, long time at the very top of the game.

Why do people make such stupid statements - just because he doesnt bomb it he had the best all round game last year (and hence the lowest scoring average) and turned up in every major, you seriously think you do that just by holing out well from 12-20 feet

well said i can't believe this either... This game is a form game. Scott and Bubba have proved that early on and incresed my golfing club fund
we all get to the tee/range putting green and cant hit a thing some days, others we crush it.

so what.. Hes not playing great at the minute. But if hes swinging well this time next month hes a craking each way bet..

Guess just struggling for a little early season form
Whilst not sure when he will a major next he will be in the winners circle again on the PGA tour soon enough
His game is stellar all round even though not as long as some

I will be interested to see how this season pans out and while there's no way he'll repeat last year will he be able to win?

not surprising over 12 rounds of golf, hardly statistically reliable. Far less variance if you look at the whole of last year

But last year was arguably his career year. I take the point you make and merely showed the stats to indicate that his overall performances in all areas aren't great or consistent
