Noticed a few times when he is playing and having to battle to get a score he acts like a sulky teenager on the course

Also seen it when he is being challenged

He has a great swing and hits the ball very well but it looks like his attitude could get in the way of him becoming a challenger to the likes of McIlory and Kaymer etc

Thats your expert view , could be right but he will soon learn you have to play within your limits , get outside that and you lose ..............................EYG

Thing is when the swing isn't quite on and you're having to grinds a score out then it's hard to be happiness personified. He's young and still finding his feet on tour. I seem to remember a few acts of petulance from the likes of McIlroy, Garcia etc when they were struggling.

Speith has had an amazing start to his career and shouldn't be knocked.

Talking about sulkers, Rory is one of the biggest out there when he's having a bad day!!!

yes and tiger woods is still doing it after winning 14 majors , if you dont have that fire in your belly then you be one of the pack and not leader of the pack ................EYG

Woods is a top class 'sulker' at times. But, unfortunately, Garcia puts them all to shame!

Rory doesn't sulk - he just gives up! Though that hasn't happened for a while!

Speith is still 'learning'! He came in at such a high level that he hasn't had to learn to 'grind' - yet! He'll do it though!

I mentioned a while back that his attitude/patience may be in question but after watching him closely I think he has got major style bottle. He gets wound up when playing bad but most players do.

One thing he never ever does is gives up. He fights for every shot like somebody is trying to steal them out of his mums purse.

That round last night was a good grind imo, he was struggling big time but hung in there.

How many of us can honestly say that we'd be a little bundle of joy if we were playing under such pressure & things aren't going right.
Lots of sulking goes on on tour,Bubba is as bad as anyone.

Im a massive Spieth fan

I'd imagine his attitude is down to his age, and with experience he'll learnt to adapt better

I would also guess that most tour pro's at his age are the same when grinding a score or challenging for a tournament...
... the only difference is we dont see them as A- most tour pros his age aren't performing at the level he is and B- they arent getting into positions to challenge in the tournaments he has been doing it in

Do we know any other kids out there at 20 who dont react like that when the chips are down? Easy to forget this fellas age, he's the real deal IMO and can and will only get better. He just needs to learn how to close it out.

the boy is very rarely off the boil. hasn't learnt to grind out rounds as every time I see him he is flying high!

great talent!
