Absolutely awesome, holding a europro event again this year so is definately quality.

A bargain aswell, £50 j/f, £100pcm, And also get to use all the spa/gym/pool facilities at the country club.

Also get free golf at the majority of other Marriots including the likes of The forest of Arden.

Roll on thursday!

Looks very nice, Rather hefty subs there but for full use of the country club I guess its not bad considering!

Have fun!

Now that looks like my kinda place, luvvverly.

£100/mth doesnt seem bad too if you get Full CC membership too, AND use of the other marriott courses !!! Jeeeezzzzuuzzz

Might be worth travelling darn sarf for sometime........ :D

Wasnt the cheapest thats for sure, but what with the country club (and it is v.good) and the opportunity to play a top course week in/out and also have access to some of the best courses in the land, gratis, I thought it had to be done.

tudor park is a nice course tends to get very busy and you have tee times. West malling 2 course same sort of price no tee times we have jacuzzie etc. The other part tudor deal gym etc is great but will you use it ?
Id rather have 2 courses and no tee times

Definately going to make use of the country club, particularly the swimming and gym side of it.

What did it for me is the course, and getting to play all the other marriots for free.

Make sure thats what you want to do Jon, it wont be like a normal members club at all. The hotel chain will have first dibs on the course when they want it. I know someone who left a club attached to another of their courses as it was not good value for the money.

Good point, I did check and they have protected tee-times for members, particularly at weekends.

They also have organised roll-ups on thursday night, saturdays, and they also have evening stablefords which are roll-ups through the summer.

The guy in charge is a mad-keen golfer so he has his heart in it.

Correct me if I'm wrong Medwayjon, but didn't you say that you were joining The Ridge?

Hope you enjoy the new course, all sounds good.

Golfmmad. :D

WAS, when I enquired I was told there would be no joining fee, went in to sign up and was told I would have to pay it unless I paid £400 or so up front.

Not prepared to do this and have only just cleared the credit card from xmas so not doing it.

Jon - a real shame you will not be joining the Ridge. I am surprised that Mike did not offer to meet you somewhere in the middle or at least do something. I know he is keen to attract about 50 new members so would expect him to do you a deal of some sort.

We moved away from Tudor Park a couple of years ago. We were told the same as you that tee times were reserved etc, but often found our 8.30 was put back to 9.08 as they let hotel guests out or that hotel guests were allowed to filter in between when we had more than one group. As with most 'resort golf', it was always very, very slow, especially at weekends. I hope they have all this sorted out for you now though, good luck mate!

Molly, He said he would knock the joining fee if I did quarterly, I agree'd, then was invoiced £430 odd quid, which was upto the end of july, plus the next quarter.

Sorry but with holiday coming up, my leanest time of the year, there was no way I was laying out that bundle of cash.
