Well i took the plunge today and joined a new club as i only ever saw ferndown forest as a 1 year thing.

My new club has £13 twilight rate from 12 so is cheap enough for guests and they have waived the joining fee this year. I can also play the other Mack golf courses for free anytime which is handy as southwood is round the corner from my mother in law so that could save me a good £100 on green fees a year on it's own.

Looks good, hope you enjoy.

Played Southwood years ago when it was 9 holes, and was living in Cove. Must admit it was awful back then, but assume it has improved/matured ?

Moors Valley is a cracking little course, I've played there a number of times. It's a much better/fairer test off the whites, otherwise 3 of the par 5's are just really long par 4's

Do you join the club and then have to get a season ticket on top?

Sounds good. I played crane valley just before xmas. I like the course and some of the greens had a nice slope on them. I only got to try the first 13 holes as there was a slow 4ball in front who didnt want to let me through as i was on my own. Might have to arrange a meet at some point.

HH i can do weekends and some friday afternoons depending what time i finish work. Just let me know when you are ready and we will arrange it.

ok will do.

I have a baby due in 4 weeks so probaly best after that. I reckon hid will go into labour during a good round of golf. Be to much to ask for her to do it on a sunday night and get me monday off work :D
