I have not been off the planet for the last year but why as Dustin Johnson stopped playing golf and what as happened to Anthony Kim watched him in the Ryder cup when he trounced Sergio?

Johnson got banned for 6 months in August after testing positive for Cocaine. Since he's been on leave he's been out of the limelight completely, but this week he beat Tiger's course record at Sherwood Country Club, so he's clearly still playing, and working hard on his game. I hope he comes back, he's fantastic to watch.

Not actually 'banned'. Jumped before being pushed.
Kim was plagued by injuries - wrist, thumb, achilles tendon - and may not even consider returning as he had something near a $20M tax-free insurance policy that covers injuries! If he takes 1 swing on tour, payout from that policy is void!

Really no one gets banned on the PGA tour, they take leave of absence which is in effect a ban but not officially recognised as a ban!
