Did anyone else hear him spouting off last night saying that Westwood and Rory should be playing at Sawgrass and also be going to T.V. and thanking the good ol' US of A for making them rich beyond there wildest dreams??!!

He also said the fact they are not playing is an affront to the championship.

How far up his own fat arse is this man??

Honestly, does anyone take what this blawbag says seriously.....seems to me he just spouts pish to look controversial.

Rich??Aint it their talent and European golf that has given them their platform to earn cash first and foremost and while I am ranting let's get some of these World Championship events played in Europe/Asia/Oz etc instead of 99% of them in USA............We would soon see who wants to travel and play out of the Yanks!

As said by Euan Murray last night, the PGA at Wentworth is open to all the worlds top 50 players,18 of which are Yanks............how many are playing part in it I wonder........??!!

The mans a knob, if the schedule doesn't fit then tough crap,it's only another tournament after all,5th major my arse and until the Yanks start travelling to play Miller can zip it.

Miller likes to shoot from the hip, he's made a habit of it all his life.

Got to be honest, I didn't hear it but I usually like him for his honesty and frank openness. The reason Westy and Rors aint there is due to the USPGA restricting starts because they refused to join there over rated over inflated egotistic tour.

A bit of sour grapes.

The man is an utter knob and I can't stand listening to the tripe that he spouts every week.
Its about time there was a complete change in all the current commentaters as they all talk bollocks. Simon Holmes, Mark Roe........please no?

Yep, heard it too. Got my blood boiling.

The guy is an utter bell end.
He doesn't seem to appreciate that golf is a global game.

And as for the crap about thanking America for making Lee and Rory rich. Plonker. Its dicks like him that make the world hate yanks.

normally like johnny miller but what alot of rubbish he spouted last night going on about gary player for not thanking the usa for the money he made.

as butch harmon said golfers are individual contractors and can play where they want and when they want, but finchem was saying we have to make it so these guys cant miss it,maybe losing a the plot a bit as tghe euro tour is stronger just now that the pga imo.

The US tour made the TPC open to all, not one of the restricted number of tour events that non-affiliated US tour players can play, so WW and McI could have played. It was their choice not to play, and a pretty bad one. Its not a Major and no amount of posturing by the TPC will make it one, but it is the next closest thing to a Major.

A lot of the US players do come to the BMW Open at Wentworth - Rose, Donald, Pulter, Casey, Karlsson etc etc - all of whom live and work in the USA, and by all accounts are American, except for the Ryder Cup.

Are you Milers/Timgolfs Brother or does talking pish just come naturally???

Faldo must be a Yank now too then...closest thing to a major my arse.

This "Fifth major" thing gets my goat too. There are already one too many majors in the USA so if we're going to start talking about a fifth the last place it should be is the USA.

It's mainly the money that attracts the high class field.

The PGA Tour are just trying to make the tournament more glamorous than it is. Always played at the same course, where the only hole anybody can ever remember is the 17th, which is a gimmick hole.

typical yanks always bigging themselves up, from a nation who,s national sport is rounders and its called the WORLD series what do you expect :D

Personally I think the "majors" should be renamed the "world
series of golf",one championship per continent, with points
given for the top 50 players, and points deducted for not
turning up,that way some of the yanks might even have to get
passports and smell the grass from the other side..

I totally agree dodger, I think that what he said about thanking the good ol' usa is a complete joke!!

Did he thank the inventor of the game for making a game so he could become rich, oh probably not, as it was not invented by a yank......

Read an interview with him in Golf World a few months back and I thought he was quite an interesting guy but the trouble is he opens his gob without giving his brain a chance to catch up. I may be wrong but aren't Westwood and McIlroy missing through a problem with not playing enough on the US tour over and above anything else.

I like the TPC but it isn't and never will be a major. Similarly I don't ever see a world series of golf with different events on different continents. Despite the fact that 3 out of 4 in the US I love the tradition and drama of the majors we have.

despite Harmon saying that they were all independent contractors (self employed?) didn't he also say that Westwood and McIlroy should have played and that McIlroy had no right to say the course didn't suit him.

If he did then he's a fud too.
