Hi just back from the Johnnie Walker at Gleneagles, had a good day and followed Monty for most of his round, he played some excellent golf and his iron play was terrific.
His approach shots were better than his playing partners for most of the round and they were hitting 2 or 3 clubs less than him as he was 40-50 yards behind them off the tee every time.

Would love to see him get into the european team and if he played like today he would do well but don't think Nick will pick him.

On a slightly sour note has anyone else noticed how poor the Centenary Course is for spectators, I have my ticket booked for when the Ryder Cup is here but can honestly say it will be hard to see anything when 40,000 people are following just 4 matches round.

The walkway's are not wide enough, viewing areas are few and far between and trying to get to the next tee in time to see them drive will be almost impossible and I don't think there is much they can do to improve it.

Might be better staying home and watching it on TV.

Reckon Kaymer has blown whatever chance he had of a wildcard by missing the cut.
Monty and Darren are doing ok but I think Monty's got to win it to be in with a chance.
Surprising about the viewing at Gleneagles - you'd expect that spectators would be fairly high up the list when they choose a venue. maybe they are going to make changes before the cup gets there...
