Johnnie Walker Tournament 2015 - Will it happen?

I have just checked the European Tour schedules for 2015 and The Johnnie Walker Tournament which is held at Gleneagles during late August is not showing. I have looked on the JW Golf website and Gleneagles resort site and neither make any mention of it. Has this been dropped from the schedules or is it still to be slotted in? A car of us went in 2013, played golf on the way up, and had a great time. I was looking to do the same next year. Anyone know anything about it?

I had an e-mail from Gleneagles today which contained the following:

"As you may have recently read in the press, the European Tour has announced its schedule for 2015, which confirmed that Diageo will not be continuing with the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles."

So, no ET event at Gleneagles next year.

I heard based on the success of the Ryder Cup they are looking to hold a bigger tournament up there and attract the "bigger" players

Thanks for the replies. Really disappointing to hear this as it is a great venue for watching golf and as it was held during the school holidays I was going to take my son up as well. A shame.
