Interesting reading. How different the world of professional golf was in those days. Not paticularly glamourous and you feel they really did "earn" their living. 1955 Ryder Cup Team at Waterloo Station (yes they travelled by train!!!) look like a group of travelling salesmen rather than top sportsmen.

My dad bought me "Play Better Golf" by Jacobs when I first started playing and I still have a copy. Good sound stuff.

that was the book I had/still have from when I was a teen, I learned everything I needed to know from that in such simple terms, its all you need really.
