I'm sure Forum members regularly do better but JM has become World Long Drive Champion again with a 423 yard drive. His best during the competition was 439yds.

Not golf as we know it but he's some athlete achieving 212 club-head speed.

It's probably 212 ball speed but it's still pretty impressive.
His swing speed hovers around 150...
And he can rip a 2 ball putter 300 yards too....

Most impressive thing to me...

He hit his putter onto the famous 10th hole at the Belfry

I have never seen a world ld finals where it was so obvious who was going to win, he just looked like he was THE man and others were just there to be swept aside

In the final match v Ryan Steenberg it was just a case of when he gets the right flight he wins, well worth watching the whole finals if you have an hour

A lot of good coverage on Youtube

Had a corporate golf day last week at The Belfry and was fortunate to see J.M put on a 45 mins show for us. Went through his bag, wedge to driver then his comp driver. Incredible and a smashing bloke too

this was almost a month ago! or has there been another competition he's won?

He seems like a decent guy, and a beast with the driver.

Just out of interest, is he pro or does he have a handicap? What does he shoot?

he usually plays to about 4. whats crazy is he hits his 7 iron about 150. on the course he plays a kind of knock down shot as his normal swing produces too much spin. off the tee he uses a 5 wood

he hit 439 yards in the semis & 437 in the quarters

when met him in 2015 his index was +3

212mph is ball speed
CHS 154mph with a 3º Calli XR driver with JM signature Fujikura triple X 48" shaft

Am i wrong or is there an increasing appreciation of longdrivers amongst regular golfers?

It seems like the links have almost no thumbs down which is surprising
