Read an article in todays Daily Express by Jock McVicar regarding the tour.Chris Doak and Callum McCauly both talented youngsters and trying to make it on tour are finding it hard to get invites ,surely the growth of the tour and golf in general is in these youngsters hands.

There complaint is guys like Phillip Walton (ex Ryder Cup ) ,Barry Lane ( former tour winner )are getting invites and both haven't made the cut in the last 13 events, not sure if Walton even has a card, so i can see ther point of view and with not many events left there struggling to keep there cards, this weeks event in Madrid they cant get in.

IMO it's time for these guys to move aside and let the young guys get a shot as they've had there day .

Invite should be for those who are going to bring something to the tourney not has been choppers and if it is keeping young blood out that would otherwise be eligible than that is wrong in so many ways!

Exactly how I feel about the Masters, the Open and other big events.
Get shot of the wrinklies who are going to shoot in the 80's and let youngsters in who could possibly challenge the big names.
Watson was the exception this year...

Its down to what people want to see, someone who has been there done that or a player who might be a tour winner, sponsors will pick a known name more often than not.
