Just stumbled across this video, and Jason Day's ball flight is something else. Hits it unbelievably high with all clubs, but especially his irons. Apparently the noise it makes off his clubs in person is un-rivalled by anyone on tour. I would absolutely love to be able to hit the ball like Day.

Not sure I'd want to hit it that high playing all my golf on the west coast of Scotland

Seems to work well enough for him though.

Haha yeah, probably not the launch conditions designed for the Scottish coast!

Any tips from any of the resident experts as to how to hit the ball higher? Particularly with the driver? I tend to have a relatively low ball flight with driver and longer irons.

Sorry, but I'm calling BS on that statement- having heard pretty much all the greats and lesser pro's hit balls they all sound the same, which is nothing like the sound you get from us amateurs.

is your SS low?
what loft on driver and shaft?
what's your average 'carry' with a driver?

Dustin Johnsons 6 iron sounded like a 50 cal when I followed him.

I hit the ball as high as that, maybe not as far though or as straight but high :D

Plus mine land softly because of the snow accumulated on it

Hit your irons HARD. All subject to dynamic loft presented at impact and a correct strike, (ball first) of course

Pretty sure day was hitting those shots higher than usual for a soft landing on those crazy greens.

I do a poor imitation of this at times when the greens are baked.

Using trajectory to stop the ball a bit quicker.
