Not too far away now so what in's and out's are you hoping to see at your club?

As a Saints fan I'd be more than happy if someone offers us £70m for VvD (apparently Liverpool and City both interested at that price), obscene amount of money for a defender and our problem is lack of goals so spend £20m on a replacement and the rest on a proven goalscorer.

New manager, please. Who should he keep from the current team? Very few! Shame there's no money left either! Bare minimum we need someone who can convert the large amount of possession and chances we have into actual goals.

Silva to stay.

Richarlison and Doucoure to stay.

Better centre halves.

No more zonal marking.

A quick striker that can play seamlessly with Richarlison, Pereyra, Hughes, etc.

Just a decent centre half that can play alongside Joe Gomez/Matip & a half decent keeper.

Emre Can to sign a new deal and Mane, Salah, Coutinho and Firmino to all stay fit.

Mignolet, Sturridge, Klavan, a bag of sherbert lemons, and a curly wurly + 30 mill in a swap deal for VVD.

New keeper.

Maybe a Firminho-like player, but who just gets an extra 10-15 goals a season on him, if I'm being very picky.

New sports science dept.

Stick with the 4-2-3-1 which I said we should go to 2-3 months ago.

Having Lalana back may be the answer to the Firminho like player.

Think you got a bargain in Pickford. His CV to date is impressive, and his form whenever I've seen him play is solid.

Pickford is a quality keeper, in his time on loan with us (Bradford) he was awesome. Fantastic shot stopper, quick reactions and great with ball at his feet.

No lallana plays as one of the midfield 3, when we play 4-3-3, although he is more dangerous there than when he played further forward.

Firminho plays as the central forward, so not like-for-like - ask your missus, she'll tell yer. :D

Lallana could sort our goalkeeping problem though.

Best you don’t watch the news tomorrow ;)
