Great 40 yard strike by Ozturk in the 93rd minute saved Hearts unbeaten record in the Edinburgh derby.

Best Hibs team I have seen for years. I thought Alan Stubbs was a good appointment and I think he will do well.
I can see Rangers International being squeezed out of promotion on this form.

Keeps the momentum going along nicely though. Wasn't impressed with the sitter by the bloke who obviously spends too much time thinking about his hairstyle than putting the ball in the back of the net with only the keeper to beat. Bring back Robbo!!!

Cracking goal (& one I thought wasn't going to happen as the clock ticked down)

Happy to still be unbeaten but credit due for the Hibs performance, best they've played v Hearts in recent times

I'd say a draw was fair (although plenty Hibs fans might disagree but they need to take into account that Hearts train to score in the last few minutes of a game so its no real surprise when they do)

Ideally Edinburgh gets a double celebration in May

I'd be genuinely interested in how you go about training to score in the last few minutes.

Do they specifically target injury time or are we talking the last 5 minutes?

Surely if they are expert at scoring in the last few minutes (due to training) they could also target the first few minutes in order to get a bit of breathing space and some cover in case the last few minutes specific training fails,no?

Hearts are doing really well at the moment mind you, quite thin on cover with a small squad though, any injuries or suspensions might be telling come the end of season.

As I understand the words from the coaching staff, the double & triple training sessions they've done since pre-season makes them better prepared/able to create scoring opportunities in the final 10 minutes of a game when playing against teams who cant/wont do this (as opposed to player & team fitness being much closer/more even at the start of a game)

Agree that suspensions will weaken the squad and something they really need to guard against

edit: though I have a small worry that injuries are cropping up, especially hamstrings and wonder if its also related to the intense training

Can't see it, at worst case Rangers will make the play off's and go up.

Some form, only 2 wins out of their last 7 games. Even with Ally in charge I think all Rangers fans will fancy their chances against that

Has to be worth bumping this thread after Saturdays result

10 - 0 in a league game isn't a common occurrence regardless of the opposition

Added to that there was a 3½ minute hat-trick
10 goals in 50 minutes
Another screamer from Ozturk
Cheeky dink'd penalty
20 point lead in the table
Mathematical finish line in sight

:D

Obviously a good win for Hearts, who have all but sown up the league now.

Might be a bit churlish but I think the 28th minute red card and three penalties contributed a fair bit to the freakish scoreline and maybe merit a mention in your list.... ;)

Three pens in a game is unusual I grant you (I think Rangers were the last Scottish team to enjoy that) but playing against 10 men is a multiple occurrence every week up & down the leagues and it doesn't turn into a 10-0 rout :whoo:

Just trying to add some balance to your post! Still a great win for them! :D

Well it has to be bumped again surely....

Hearts have now mathematically secured the Championship title over the weekend despite 7 games still to play

Well done to everyone at the club
(not that many read GM forum I'm sure)

Yeah well done Hearts, best team in the championship by a mile this season and thoroughly deserved winners.

Good to see a flicker of life from the Gers too, still got a chance of promotion after all!

Is that what they call the dead cat bounce:lol:
Big thanks to the Gers for securing the Jambo's title.

Joking apart, I think McCall will sort them out.
It should be an interesting run in for the last SPL position. Four teams with not a lot between them.
I would not rule out QoS, they have the least pressure.
