James Morrison

12 under at the start of play, 3 under now after 8 holes.... his head must be mush at the moment - will do well to still be under par by the end of his round.

Awesome story about him changing from cricket to olf at 16 years old, and dropping from 18 to scratch in a year!

Shame about today though.

For all the swing coaches, is he a Stack & Tilt man.

No, he isn't (I asked my son, as all that is a bit beyond me!).

Always like to see him do well, as he suffers from Crohn's disease which has caused him to have to withdraw from tournaments in the past. Apparently is a really nice guy, who just gets on with the hand that life has dealt him.

Think I officially jinxed him. I was at wentworth today and stood next to where his ball landed. It was painful to watch first hand the biggest hook that I would be proud of. Then to see him do almost exactly the same thing with his provisional.

I expected his ball to be found by the people he had just been close to decapitating but surprised they didnt find it. The worse part was then to see him duff his chip onto the green!

I felt so sorry for him, but fair play to him he didn't throw a Rory. Didn't see his quadruple bogey on the 8th as I couldn't bear to watch after that.

I was there too and we did find his ball but it was out of bounds so once that was established he walked on to play his provisional.

Saw the highlights and glad I dodn't watch it live. Nothing nice about a guy blowing a lead and having a shocker. Glad he got it back together on the back. Seems a good guy and didn't know about the Crohns. Hope he has a better day today and climbs back up the leaderboard and can do a lot towards securing his card for next year
