Evening,

I have just returned from a trip to my local range where again I can’t believe how sweetly I strike the ball compared to my mediocre round yesterday.
Afterwards I take my usual trip around the AG shop which is attached to the range. After looking at yet again a few sets of irons I have had my eye on I came across a set of j.lindberg irons. I am familiar with their clothes, but it seems they are venturing into the club market. As I reached for one my hand started to shake as I saw the price tag.... can you guess ?????
They were £1499 and a mere £149 for a wedge to boot !
Who in their right mind would buy these !
Please stick to making clothes Mr Lindberg !

A bemused

Just like most big companies. Put a big price tag on it and people think, oooh these must be good. Just like Hugo Boss, Versace, etc. Truth is, they are normally no different to primark et al.

The reason for the price is they are manufactured by the Japanese forging experts Vega if I am correctly informed. They are no doubt beautiful clubs and if I had the game to warrant using them I think I may be tempted to pay the money. There certainly won't be many takers though.

You say stick to clothing but to be honest at £80 for a J Lindeberg belt you aren't going to fill your pockets any quicker kitting yourself out in his apparel. Likewise with £60 polos. Again though it is very nice and good quality it just depends on how much cash you have on the hip.

Why would you want to pay that much. I know vega are the pinnacle of forging especially wedges which are the softest forged around but to be honest if the tour pros don't see the need to utilise this gear why would it serve any mortal, even low handicappers.

If they are made by Vega, why not buy from Vega, and do without the name? It is not as if Vega are a budget brand after all.

I think i would buy one set, keep them for 50 years or so, and sell them to a museum for a whole lot more!!!

I think they are not meant to be played with!?!

It's like keeping a 50 year old bottle of whiskey, you don't drink it, you either collect it or sell it.

Guys, Let me tell you for the last two or three years I found myself falling in love with the stylish clothing of J Lindeberg and have spent so much on it the wife would leave me if she only knew.
As a buyer of their knits, T-shirts, pants, belts and shoes let me tell you in my opinion I have found that although they are very stylish the build quality leaves a lot to be desired.
The stitching on just about all my pairs of trousers has come away, the T shirts pull extremely easy and after very few washes look worn and untidy and the knits are even worse, looking extremeley untidy within the hour.

If their clubs are anything like their clothing they wont last two minutes.

Now if Galvin Green made clubs and were anything like their clothing they would last a life time !!!!
