J.B Holmes

tigers got a point. theres no need for a match to last more than 5 hours on the amateur circuit let alone tour!

There has to be a line set, just dont let Faldo set it.

is his pre shot routine OTT or is he trying to bring character to the game or himself?

How does he bring character to the game with slow play?

Slow play is a constant problem in clubs throughout the world and I agree with Woods something does have to be done.

i am not saying it does htl, i am asking for your opinion,
with the all the tv coverage nowadays do you think he does it for the camera

I agree because there is nothing more frustrating than waiting behind a club golfer who goes through a routine which does him no good what so ever. At my old club we had a guy who would wiggle, shuffle, wiggle, shuffle and then do a Mike Weir and draw the club back half way with me thinking 'he is gonna chuff it' and sure as God it went O.B.

I have a lot of admiration for Tiger after Holmes' perfomance last week.
I believe I would have in a prison cell at the moment looking at 20 years to life if I'd been playing him

I was screaming at the TV over Holmes. This guy is obviously an @r$e#ole who does it just to upset his playing partner(s).

I would have no time for him whatseover and I, like A_F would be looking at doing a bit of porridge if he had been out with me.

In some ways it was a clever attempt by J.B Holmes to put Tiger off his game with slow play, If it was our job wouldn't we try things to put Tiger of his game and gain an advantage?

I've not witnessed JB's antics, but a line needs to be drawn and would welcome some looking at the rules.

I met a pro who played with Faldo at his best who said it was "painful" to watch all the tinkering and felt his own game "suffered" as a result.

4 swings....ouch....as annoying as Olazabal's 7? "looks".

I feel bad having two practice swings.

The place to nail 'excessive' routines is Q-school. If you can't get to your ball and play your shot without undue delay you are obviously not qualified.
At the same time they can be taught to make their own decisions - no caddies lining up putts for one.
