That some tour pros that hit bad shots are not shouting fore, or even just putting an arm out... yes youre frustrated and there is a lot of money at stake but how long is it going to be before a spectator is killed by a stray ball as there was no shout? Bubba at the WGC a few weeks back really stood out, not even sticking an arm out, if we hit someone whilst out on the course we could be sued 400 grand... I have massive respect for the pros but some really need to learn some etiquette

from what Ive seen i think there wanting some sort of rebound to put the ball back in play ,,,i watched one golfer hit is ball into the crowd ,,this lady walked straight up to the ball & picked it up ,,when the TV went back to the ball it clearly wasn't were the ball had stopped the commentators never comment on what as happened because they probably have had some of this miss fortune in the passed

one thing is for shore my slice never come's back into play

I think some pros have gone on record as saying they hope it gets a bounce off the crowd. As Mr T says though how long before someone is killed or seriously injured. I'm sure that will open a real legal can of worms as the law suits start flying

Can't imagine there will be a lawsuit, as like most things American there will be small print on your ticket that states that you watch at your own risk.

Sadly I can quite see that being the case, often if someone gets hit they might give them a cap or something, and the commentators comment on how "its a nice touch" etc... but is it really? What would they do if someone had to go to hospital? Cause I don't think a cap would really suffice for being put in hospital...

Can't see anyone being killed... unless they are standing 50yds from the tee and Bubba thins one! the guys down the fairway don't bother me (yes it's gotta hurt taking one on the head) but it's that narrow chute of spectators lining the tee box and iron shots. tiger hit a 1-iron stinger the other week and the 'alleyway' left by spectators was 10yds wide and 50yds long! Dangerous!
