Only 3 seeds have made it through to the last 16 stage of the Accenture Matchplay, Casey (6) Poulter (9) and Garcia (13) and 7 players who were supposed to bow out in the first round are still in there.

Could you imagine this happening in Tennis with the worlds number 23 Thomas Berdych playing Arnuad Clement (62) so late in a tournament.

Casey and Poulter are in the opposite sides of the draw so they could meet in the final, who would like to see that?

18 holes golf matchplay, is like tennis being decided over one set. The shorter the duration the more likely the shock result.

Yes. Think of those skiers in the downhill....ONE chance, under 2 minutes. Can you imagine the Open being played over one hole.

AS someone once said, the top tennis players spend 90% of their time winning but the top golfers spend 90% of their time losing (probably more than that for anyone except you-know-who).

big enough field and some 'also rans' will win and some favourites will lose. isn't this usually the plaint of the low handicapper - high handicappers winning?
it's all relative.

and Casey v Poulter, or throw Ollie Wilson in the mix, and I genuinely wouldn't mind who won
