It looks like the summer golfer have already hibernated.

I played 18 holes on Saturday, apart from the couple who let me through on the first I did not see another human being for three hours. For me that is pure bliss, millionaires golf.

Do you have a big divide between summer and winter as far as footfall and is it to your liking?

Don`t get me wrong, I do like the buzz of a busy summer club on a Thursday night or whatever, but I love the quiet too.

See this loads at my club! around this time of year the course is in great condition and still on full tees and greens but not many people play as its a bit cold. Perfect for the rest of us who still go though.

Many of our members don't play in winter (or only when the weather is super nice), but on the other hand, since daylight hours are so much shorter, those who do play all try to tee up between 10 and 12 o'clock, making the course feel every bit as crowded as it does in summer.

Played on Saturday and our course was gorgeous and quiet, very quiet. During the week our back nine is nearly always millionaires golf. Folk whinge about pace of play on our front nine, there's two bells on our par fives and two par threes. So it does back up. But on the back nine you could crawl round.

My previous club had an older membership profile, and on many winter mornings it was very quiet, always worked for me as I'm not fussed about the cold.

Wish our course was quiet...start sheet was full from first light until our tee time at 13.40 last Saturday. Last group out...We finished, walked into the scorer's hut and by the time we had ordered a pint it was pitch black. This week we won't be able to tee off that late, and it gets harder and harder to get a tee time every week as the nights draw in. Every Friday at 6.30pm when the following Saturday tee times go live online it is literally fastest finger first to secure your spot, never known anything like it.

Crazy, you have lots of active members. I would not like to have to fight for a tee time. Do you know how many members you have?

Sounds wonderful, I played a twilight (13:07) on sunday with two mates and got stuck behind a 4 ball that really should've let us through as we were already on the tee just as they were tee'ing off. It seems that as we've still got clement weather going on the usual fairweather'ers are still about.

The first tee has been rammed on Saturday mornings recently from first light. No sign of quietening down at all. Hopefully when the clocks change and people can go out earlier again and things will get spaced out better
