It's official, Premier league footballer has gone off the deep end...

Yaya Toure's agent has criticised Manchester City's attempts to mark the midfielder's birthday with a tweet, describing their efforts as "a joke".

City gave Toure a birthday cake as they flew to Abu Dhabi and tweeted their congratulations after he turned 31

But Dimitri Seluk says Toure is "very upset" the club's owners failed to acknowledge him personally and says he may leave over their lack of respect.

"None of them shook his hand on his birthday. It's really sick," he said.

Scrap your help the hero's work you forum'ers, there a City player who needs a hug!!

Let's get some perspective here, when was the last time your big boss came down and shook your hand on your birthday? This actually applies to proper multinational size companies. Never, probably .... So great footballer but just another employee, please do your job and take the emotion elsewhere, can't have that in the work place as it undermines work efficiency.

Gad I'm gonna have nightmares about this tonight! We live in a sick sick world :(

Football would be so much better off if agents weren't involved. What on earth has this got to do wth anything other than trying to get clubs interested in their man. Bear in mind Toure has already said he's considering a move anyway so it's hardly a secret he'd be available. Pathetic

From Toure

The City midfielder tweeted: "Please do not take words that do not come out of my mouth seriously. Judge my commitment to City by my performances."

Yeah I know and that's exactly why he wants to go back! Wouldn't you.... Barca or m/cr sorry it's no contest!

Although if he does like m/cr the west is better the east........

he is immense, should have been player of the season.

Do you really think Touré wouldnt have been a worthy winner? As much as Suarez helped LFC to 2nd Touré was equally important in City winning the league.
