Woke up this morning and low and behold the snow has gone, and i didn't have to defrost the car.
Is there light at the end of the tunnel, will I be playing at the weekend?

Sun is cracking the flags here, Not a cloud in the sky but, its wet and cold. Still frost in the garden where the sun cant get too so am not convinced it quite gone. I hope so though as I am forgetting how to play.

Our main course is still shut and the other on 18 temps. Doesn't seem that bad outside though. Getting annoyed now! Practising in my garage just doesn't cut it at the moment! Apparantly the day temperatures are rising over the weekend but still falling below zero at night, so the clubs will prob keep it shut til later in the day

Been luckier than most as we seem to have missed the hard frosts although its been very cold.
Milder for the weekend but at a cost,back to the 30mph winds...

Metcheck says Watford will be minus 7 tonight. Temp greens tomorrow for sure. Glad I am going to Princes with Jon. Should be about 2 down there tomorrow, which will be like a heat wave compared to home.

Temperature was quite good today.

Left work early to get some holes in then on the way home, hit a blanket of fog.

Got home and wouldn't have been able to see the distance of a lob wedge so didn't go.

Hope tomorrow will be better.

We've been fog-bound all day. The temperature hasn't got above -2 and the frost from last night is still untouched. Another hard frost tonight as well.

Another weekend lost.

Supposed to be a bit warmer Sunday but I'm busy.

Forecast last night was for mist/fog in my area first thing, none when I went to work, but as I got into Stevenage things were looking very white - a fresh snowfall, and they didn't forecast that either. *

Since the forecasters don't like even to give a halfway decent 5-day forecast where are they getting their 30 day + from?

* phoned the course on the strength of the clear morning, course had re-opened so off at midday for a round - couldn't see 200 yds. Bu**er!

Metchecks says no warmer than -2 with the wind chill so the base layer will get another outing. Off at 9.20 in the first competition of the year. I usually go on the practice ground for 45 minutes before but I might give that a miss and just hit a few in the practice net!!!
