It's finally coming together

Played in the medal today and shot nett 72 (+2). The stupid thing was I hit the first three greens in regulation and three putted them all. Add in four (4!!!!!) double bogies on top and I should have cleaned up.

I know I should be pleased to a degree with that score all things considered but two of the doubles were poor choices and I've no idea how I putted so badly to start with when it is usually a bedrock. The first putt on the 1st barely made it halfway. I'm sort of happy that I've found some form but mostly annoyed with myself as nett 69 was leading and so I should/could have won at a canter.

Hey Homer great to hear that things are on the up. I know exactly what you mean about hitting GIR and then being wasteful with your putting. Most important thing is that your performances are improving and you're loving the beautiful game again. Really pleased you're making progress, keep going bud. Don't worry about not winning Homer. You played well that's the important thing, especially after the trials of the last few months.

Doubles and 3 putts will happen but it sounds like you have far more positives to take out of it than worry about those. Keep up the good play and a win will come.
