been struggling with driving accuracy on the course the last few months. in that time when ever i've been to lessons with my pro I've stripped it down the middle. on the course sometimes it can go anywhere..

the other day went to my mate to try his LM and decide which shafts to get ride of.. did not hit a bad shot out of prob 100 balls.

Tonight when over the range, set up to hit to one area of the range, between the 200 marker and the 175 pin about 50 yards right of it. so was aiming to hit into this area, which is quite a narrow target.

every single one ( at least 70 balls ) straight down the middle.....

the mind boggles:(

I find it's a bit cyclical. Then I realised over confidence or contempt shall we say was the reason. Now I just try to pay attention to my set up and not go after the swing.
But the real game changer was the pink castle tee ....... I'll get my coat

was actually using an orange castle tee on the range today.... must be the key, the driving range rubber tee is orange as well:rofl:

Awesome. I'm sold on that idea.
Tomorrow, I will search the county for ranges with Pink tees.
(I'll get my wife to do the phoning...) :)

It may sound stupid but I havefound that picking an exact target for every shot has made a huge difference to my game

My Pro had me doing that on my last lesson, I was setting up and he was asking were I was aiming and I was saying either left, middle or right of fairway, he had me change it to exact targets, ie, left edge of bunker, small tree, etc, he reckoned that the smaller exact target the better the concentration,

That's where I am going wrong then. I just aim forwards and hope for the best.
