I am on a self imposed rest due to injury but how many of you played today and suffered with the heat?

was sort of peeved I wasnt out but relieved at the same time if you know what I mean

Those that played what did you do to make it as comfortable as possible?

Roasting!!! Guess who forgot th sun cream! Luckily I've got a decent t shirt tan so far this season and don't really burn, although the back of the neck is a bit tingly!

Basically shorts and plenty of water!! We teed of at 1100 so caught prob the worst of it! It was a bit too hot for playing really but I'm certainly not complaining!!

Too right G1BB0 - betty swollocks all day long! Tee'd off at midday which wasn't the cleverest idea! Was absolutely baking out there but thankfully a bit of a breeze kicked up so that took the sting off it. I'm a nice shade of red now though. Didn't take anywhere near enough drink with me, so lesson learnt for next time!

We finished at 11:20 so we probably missed the hottest conditions. It was really nice to sit under a big parasol with cold lager while watching the later players sweating their nuts off.

Shut up you tarts.

Shorts, loads of fluid and a hat, nothing more required.

You'd be moaning if it was pissing down.

Sunshine guaranteed now, I bought new waterproofs yesterday.

Cheers

Steve...

12.30 tee time postponed on Lansdowne to a 13.30 tee time on Rosemount in the hope the rain would stop. Unfortunately not, rain on and off all afternoon, but at least it was warm rain. :(

i just come back from california 'death valley' i played furnace creek golf club (the lowest club in the world at -200 feet below see level) i tee'd off at 3pm. it was 49 degrees c. i drank 4 ltrs of water

SPF 60 sun cream (Aussie stuff) plus a Titleist wide brimmed hat and I still got a glow on. I can burn getting from the car to the changing room though :D :D

Had a black shirt ready but thought it might bake me alive so switched to white.

Ditched the Mars bar - I figured it would be liquid by the 3rd hole and had plenty of drinks. Needed them all - still started getting a bit light headed about 14th (that's my excuse anyway).

Fantastic day - would rather be out playing than just about anything (hedging my bets there in case HID takes a sneaky read).

Tee's off at half 8 at Ash Vale, quite hilly and long. When we tee'd off it was low cloud and clammy...by the time we got to the third all the cloud had burned off and it was boiling. If anyone's played Ash Valley they'll know there's not much shade around, even had my brolly up at one stage for shade!

Great morning though, got 40 points with a blob on the 18th! Now that's rare...
