Is this dent worthy of a replacement head?

First time at the range with my new Callaway X2 Hot driver and on damp mats I managed to slip and follow through very strangely on my swing and strike a pole separating the bays full whack with the back of the driver head. I've been quoted between £80 and £100 for a replacement head, and with this driver costing £125 (bought a week ago...) I'm not sure if I should shell out for it.

What do you guys think? Will the dent/scuff cause my drives to be worse as the head may be slightly off on the weighting? Worth getting it analysed somewhere to see if it is adversely affecting my shots?

Cheers in advance

Seem to remember you getting abit of stick for that.
Didn't you cry a little?
Pretty sure I would have.

I know I did.. Shed a tear. Did the same with a brand new iron a year or so ago too, played what seemed like a normal shot, only for the grass under the ball to just be a thin layer covering a rock... Took the shine off the new clubs quite literally!

Can you see the dent at address? if not then just live with it. Hopefully it is still conforming to the rules:)

Good point! And it probably isn't thinking about it but I'm sure one of the rules guys will be able to clarify. Only an issue if playing in competitions though.

I dont remember anything but a bit of fun, never know with this forum though. I guess the guys I actually know would know me as someone who loves kit to be perfect but I am kinda past that. Its just a tool to move white balls.

I guess the 913 will stay with me some time as it has little resale value and the stats it makes for me are just about perfect on a good hit. The dent is in the toe and cannot be seen at address or at all really, you never really look at the toe of your driver.

Yeah it was just banter.

Is that club cracked? Does it sound different when struck? Hold head under water and see if any air rises up.

I've not had the chance to go home yet, straight into a late shift at work. It doesn't look cracked on close inspection but will do the water check tomorrow and hope for the best
