My fella is a big fan of golf. I'm trying to think of his xmas present, and I found a gift card thing, which means he can book 18 holes on The Brabazon course at the Belfry between november and march...

Is this a good present?? Or is it rubbish?? I know NOTHING about golf, lol, so I have no idea, and I can't ask him, because I want it to be a suprise.

In theory ye although I'm sure I heard on commentary over the weekend that they plan to dig up and relay several greens and do major works on a number of holes. It means that some holes may be out of action completely or cut down in length (teeing from the fairway etc) and temporary greens in operation.

If you can find out when the work is being carried out and get him to schedule the game before it starts in earnest then I think you will have a very happy other half

Homer, they did mention the major works but I think they were referring to Wentworth after next years PGA. I think the major works at the Belfry are done for a while now, to the course at least.

Do you think that might be a problem? I know he's not particularly fussed about winning, so long as he doesnt play really badly. The site says maximum handicap allowed is 24 for this package(i think). I'm not sure exactly what his handicap is, but I think it's around 10 or 11??? What do you think??
